Program Participation
The MIT ATP Program is an invitation-only program. To participate, you must already possess relevant job, industry, and market credentials in ATP technology. Before engaging with potential ATP partners, a Cisco sponsor or Partner Account Manager (PAM) must proceed to the ATP Instruction Page for nomination, approval, and partner invitation instructions. You should take the following steps:

  1. Read the requirements and the MIT ATP Program discount eligibility for participation in the ATP Program.
  2. If identified as a participating partner/provider, complete the Cisco ATP application and review it with your PAM.
  3. If you meet all criteria, your PAM will submit a request for invitation to their ATP Theater Lead contact. Note: filling out an application does not guarantee an invitation.
  4. Once invited, visit the Certification and Specialization Application (CSApp)/Invitation tool to complete the program requirements checklist online. The Word version file can be downloaded and used to track completion of program requirements.

Partner Profile
Cisco is looking to partner with highly-skilled VARs and systems integrators who have experience selling and deploying network infrastructure products to wireless service providers.

Restricted Products
New partners may uncover leads and develop quotes for Cisco Mobile Internet Technology products and solutions during the qualification period. However, they cannot purchase Cisco Aggregation Services Router 5000 Series products for commercial deployments and begin deployments until they have successfully met the defined requirements for this ATP.

Advanced Service Offerings
Cisco Advanced Services has developed additional offerings to help ensure partner success:

  1. Pre-sales services scoping validation service: Partners will be required to utilize this service during the pre-sales phase for every deal. Cisco Advanced Services will validate the partner's service proposal, accuracy of services scoping, and readiness for services delivery during the pre-sales phase.
  2. Collaborative Professional Services (CPS MIT AtP ASR5K Guidance Service: MIT ATP partners must include this service as part of their first deployment per technology.) This post-sales support offer provides Cisco Advanced Services mobile packet core expertise to verify the design, test plan, configuration, and implementation plan developed by the partner engineers.

For more information regarding these Advanced Services offerings, please email us.

Lab Equipment Option
Lab equipment is not a requirement for MIT ATP partners. However, partners have the option to purchase lab systems for internal or trial use (not to be resold to end customer) and should contact their Cisco PAM for details.

The following links are helpful for achieving ATP qualification. They provide access to additional training and resources.

For more information, please contact your Cisco PAM.

The "satellite" designation enables partners to be recognized as an approved Mobile Internet Technology ATP in a second country after becoming an approved Mobile Internet Technology ATP partner in one country ("host") within their theater (or the European Economic Area if applicable).
