End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the
Cisco 510, 565, 7305 and 7325 Content Engines
Cisco Systems announces the end of life of the Cisco 510, 565, 7305 and 7325 Content Engines. The last day to order the CE-510-K9, CE-565-K9, CE-7305-K9 and CE-7325-K9 products will be December 30, 2003. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until December 30, 2008. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for these products.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the new Cisco 510A, 565A, 7305A and 7325A Content Engines which offer the latest in hardware component upgrades with no increase in list prices.
These new Content Engines will use the same ACNS 5.0 (or later) software as the EOL Content Engines. Information about ACNS 5.0 can be found at: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/conntsw/ps491/products_data_sheet0900aecd801a175a.html
Table 3 provides relevant information for migrating from the Cisco CE-510/565/7305/7325 to the corresponding CE-510A/565A/7305A/7325A Content Engines.

Product Migration Options
The recommended replacement for the Cisco 510, 565, 7305 and 7325 Content Engines are the Cisco 510A, 565A, 7305A and 7325A Content Engines (Table 3). These `version A' Content Engines are built with the latest hardware components that include the next generation in CPUs and hard drives.
